With a bevy of dads, brothers, and other mentors along for the ride, the Caps hit the muggy ice in Chicago ready to play from the opening faceoff and took it to an undermanned Blackhawks team. It wasn’t always the cleanest game but it was a solid win from start to finish, with offense coming from up and down the lineup – can’t ask for much more than that.
Plus: The Caps scored early to take a 1-0 lead, which we always love, but it was thanks to a crucial five-on-three penalty kill that the Caps were able to then take control of the game.
