The defending Stanley Cup champions are in town and the Capitals appear to have set their alarm clocks to the right time. Because Washington Coach Barry Trotz hasn’t been pleased with the the Capitals’ play in their first two games, he’s shuffled the lineup for tonight.
Sean Collins was reassigned to Hersey, clearing the way for Washington to recall center Chandler Stephenson. Stephenson will take Michael Latta’s place on the fourth line. There was also a change to the defense, as Nate Schmidt is a healthy scratch and Taylor Chorney will crack the lineup for the first time as a Capital.
