Niskanen was traded to Philadelphia in the offseason for Radko Gudas, mainly so the Caps could save some money.
During the tribute, Niskanen stood up, saluted the crowd, didn’t show a ton of emotion (as opposed to, you know, his typical outgoing self), and the crowd cheered.
