Capitals at Wild: Caps conclude cold road trip

The Washington Capitals fell 3-0 to the Winnipeg Jets in a game so bad we decided to look at Ilya Kovalchuk’s shifts instead of recapping the actual game. Who could blame us?

Dmitry Kulikov put the Jets up 1-0 at 6:33 in the first. The Caps were outshot in the opening period 9-7 but outshot the Jets 13-11 in the second. They outshot the Jets 14-12 in the third and 34-32 overall.

The Jets added to their lead with goals from Kyle Connor at 7:20 and Mark Scheifele at 18:32 to get a 3-0 win and avenge a Tuesday defeat that ironically saw them come back from a 3-0 deficit only to fall in the shootout.
