Braden Holtby Named NHL's Second Star of the Month

For the second straight month, Braden Holtby has earned accolades as the NHL's second star, joining Calgary's Johnny Gaudreau and Chicago's Patrick Kane as the three stars for December.

Holtby appeared in 10 games last month and didn't lose a single one in regulation, as he continues to put up stellar numbers and make his case for being one of the League's best goaltenders.

From the League:

Holtby went 9-0-1 with a 1.69 goals-against average, .947 save percentage and one shutout in 11 appearances to rank second in the NHL in wins and lead the Capitals (28-7-3, 59 points) to an 11-2-1 December as well as the top of the Eastern Conference standings.
