Braden Holtby can tie Martin Brodeur's single-season wins record against Islanders

Nearly every team goal for the regular season has been met by the Washington Capitals, but with four games left, there’s still one thing they’d like to accomplish. The single-season wins record for a goaltender is within reach, and for the Capitals, helping Braden Holtby set that mark has become a priority.

“We’re going to do our best,” Alex Ovechkin said. “We have four more games to play and break the record. I think he’s going to do it. … He’s been outstanding all year for us and we just have to do it for him.”

“I hope it’s not too stressful for them,” Holtby said with a laugh.
