Barry Trotz Named to Team Canada Coaching Staff for 2016 World Cup of Hockey

ARLINGTON, Va. – Washington Capitals head coach Barry Trotz will serve as an assistant coach for Team Canada at the 2016 World Cup of Hockey. Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Mike Babcock will serve as head coach of Team Canada and Chicago Blackhawks head coach Joel Quenneville, Carolina Hurricanes head coach Bill Peters and Boston Bruins head coach Claude Julien will join Trotz as assistant coaches for the team.

The 2016 World Cup of Hockey will be held in Toronto from Sept. 17, 2016, through Oct. 1, 2016. In addition to Canada, the eight teams participating in the 2016 World Cup of Hockey will include the Czech Republic, Finland, Russia, Sweden, Team Europe, Team North America and the United States.
