Before Alex Ovechkin and the Washington Capitals became a synonymous partnership in the NHL, the 35-year-old began his path to stardom at Dynamo Moscow of the KHL.
And before he hangs up his skates for good, that’s where Ovechkin wants to finish his career.
“There are certain goals that I want to achieve after my career,” Ovechkin told Russian Television International (via Sportsnet). “But my career is not over yet. I’m still in my prime. I think I will definitely play for a few more years, God grant that my health is good.
