The 2025-26 NHL schedule is out and the Caps will kick things off at home on October 8, when they play host to the Boston Bruins.
Among the highlights of this year’s schedule are the first game against the defending Stanley Cup Champion Panthers on November 13 in Florida, their first games against last year’s playoff opponents on November 11 (in Carolina) and November 20 (in Montreal), and of course the first faceoff of the season between Alex Ovechkin and Sidney Crosby in Pittsburgh on November 8.
