Wake Forest's facilities upgrades give program 'shot in the arm'

When Dave Clawson arrived at Wake Forest and he began selling recruits on the university, he admits candidly, “We probably spent more time in the business school than our football facilities.”

But after a facilities transformation, that is no longer the case. Wake Forest is in the midst of an entire overhaul. Its new $21 million indoor facility is completed and in use; new coaches offices and a sports performance center are on deck, with a brand new weight room slated to open in January 2018.

“What it does is it gives us such a better chance to be competitive and be successful,” Clawson said recently.
