As the Wake Forest basketball program limps into the ACC portion of their schedule, the Demon Deacons are 7-5. With puzzling losses to Houston Baptist and Gardner-Webb, the victory over Ivy League Cornell to start the New Year still didn’t erase many of the Wake Forest fans entering the hardest part of the schedule.

Sure, it was nice to see Jaylen Hoard score 23 points while grabbing 15 rebounds while the Deacs held Cornell to 37.
