Wake Forest Baseball Team Gets Big Win Over Marshall

The Wake Forest baseball team traveled to West Virginia and came back with a big non-conference victory. The Deacs knocked off Marshall (30-18) by a score of 3-1 to improve to 32-20 on the season. The game lasted just seven innings due to fog, but the game still lasted enough to count as an official win for the Demon Deacons.

The win snapped Marshall's nine-game winning streak, and also moved the Deacs up to 24th in RPI. Wake Forest did all of its damage in the top half of the third inning. Gavin Sheets came to the plate with the bases loaded and connected for a double, which scored two base runners.
