Wake Forest held its annual spring football game on Saturday, April 11 at BB&T Field, playing in front of a crowd of 4,553. The 75-degree, cloudless weather resembled that of a September Saturday afternoon, and the sounds of the marching band and hard-hitting tackles only added to the ambiance of the event.
The game began in familiar fashion for the Deacs — a quarterback sack, a three and out and a punt — a sequence that reminds fans of an offense that was truly offensive last fall. The Deacons ranked near the bottom of the nation in seemingly every statistical category.
