Tyler Bell to transition to assistant coach

Sadly the injury bug has hit Wake Forest RB Tyler Bell too many times. Bell, a redshirt junior, has suffered two torn ACLs in less than two years. Per the Winston-Salem Journal, Bell is now medically disqualified from continuing his career with the Demon Deacons.

Coach Clawson said of Bell that “he’s a great kid, he’s worked so hard to come back. He was looking probably better than he’s ever looked.”

Bell will transition to a student assistant coach role. Finishing the 2015 season as the Deacon’s leading rusher as a true freshmen, Bell rushed for 451 yards on 129 carries while also helping in the pass game with 18 receptions for 127 yards.
