The Wake Forest Demon Deacons got rocked by the Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday night. Wake Forest gave up only one run in the top of the first, and tied the game in the bottom half of the inning after Nate Mondou went yard. A competitive game was short-lived, however, as Texas A&M scored 5 runs in the 2nd, and then 6 more runs in the 5th. Texas A&M, who finished number 1 in final regular season polls, ultimately won 22-2.
While Wake Forest did use 8 pitchers in yesterday's contest, manager Tom Walter essentially conceded the contest after the 2nd inning with the pitchers that he chose to send out.
