SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Notre Dame running back C.J. Prosise was not in uniform against Wake Forest on Saturday.
The redshirt junior went through concussion protocol all week after leaving the first quarter of a 42-30 win at Pitt on Nov. 7. Coach Brian Kelly had said that Prosise got in some activity Thursday but that whether he played would be decided by doctors.
Notre Dame football media relations director Michael Bertsch tweeted before Saturday's game that freshman Josh Adams is slated to start.
Prosise had spent most of his career at safety and wide receive before he converted to running back this spring, ascending to the top of the depth chart by Week 2 of this season because of attrition and injury.
