The former Demon Deacon cornerback quickly found a new home at the conclusion of today's NFL Draft.
Shortly after the conclusion of today's NFL Draft, Wake Forest senior cornerback Merill "Bud" Noel signed a contract with the Buffalo Bills. The strength of last year's Wake Forest team was its strong secondary, and NFL general managers and scouts agreed. In the first round of the NFL Draft, the Houston Texans selected Noel's teammate Kevin Johnson with the 16th selection.
Noel was a freshman all-american during his redshirt freshman campaign, and started more than 40 games throughout his Wake Forest career.
