Daniel Schwindt of Orlando, Fla., visited Wake Forest as a high school student and immediately fell in love with the beauty of the campus and the opportunities it granted its students.
Schwindt recognized how special it was for professors to know students by name and develop relationships with them after personally spending time with a professor on his college visit to Wake Forest.
He did not always see himself as a mathematical economics major, a major he says he chose “by accident.” He originally was just looking at a history major. He took Calculus I to fulfill a divisional requirement and found that he enjoyed it, which encouraged him to continue taking classes within the department.
