When Danae Rosendall headed south to Wake Forest, leaving behind the cold weather of Grand Rapids, Mich., she already knew she wanted to pursue a career in the medical field.
Many colleges sought Rosendall for her volleyball skills as a setter, but she was drawn to Wake Forest for its Division I athletics that accompanied its academic rigor. She wanted a school that would challenge her on the court and in the classroom — in addition to setting her up for success once she graduated.
As an athlete, Rosendall earned ACC Freshman of the Week twice during her first season.
