Donovan Mitchell, a 6'8" forward out of California, verbally committed to Wake Forest today while on his official visit. To the best of my knowledge, this new was first reported by Michael Jennings of 247 Sports. Mitchell is a three-star recruit, and Rivals currently ranks him as the 148th best player in the 2016 recruiting class.

Mitchell's biggest strength as a player is his versatility. At 6'8", he can play either wing position, as well as some power forward. He plays some point guard at the high school level, but will not do that at the collegiate level.
