The Wake Forest Demon Deacons (6-6) will head to its third straight bowl game for just the second time in school history and take on the Memphis Tigers (8-5) in the Birmingham Bowl.
The game will take place on Saturday, December 22nd, at 12 at historic Legion Field.
While most prognostications had the Deacs traveling to Tampa, the Gasparilla Bowl will instead be Marshall against South Florida. In a reasonable consolation as far as who the opponent is, Wake will get to test its mettle against a Memphis team that pushed UCF to the brink yesterday in the AAC Championship Game.
