N.C. State travelled to Blacksburg, Va., on Friday Oct. 9 to take on the Virginia Tech Hokies.
The Wolfpack jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the first quarter, but VT ultimately answered by putting up 21 points in the second quarter that helped them cruise to a 28-13 win. Virginia Tech was led by quarterback Brenden Motley who threw for 158 yards and three touchdowns. NC State’s offense never got clicking as quarterback Jacoby Brissett couldn’t get in a groove. NC State now sits at 4-2 overall as they head into their bye week. Virginia Tech is 3-3 as they prepare to take on Miami next Saturday.
