Tech forward connects on six 3-pointers, ties Cassell Coliseum record
BLACKSBURG - The Virginia Tech women’s basketball team won for the seventh straight game on Sunday afternoon as the Hokies knocked off Coppin State, 72-39.
Hannah Young tied a Cassell Coliseum single-game record with six 3-pointers as she scored a career-high 23 points to go along with seven rebounds. As a team, Tech shot a solid 39.3-percent from behind the arc, going 11-of-28.
“It’s often difficult to play these games in the middle of finals,” head coach Dennis Wolff said.
