GREENSBORO, N.C. – Sprinter Darius Watkins began the outdoor season with two personal best marks at Miami’s Hurricane Invitational to top the ACC’s leaderboards and garner the ACC Track Performer of the Week honor, as announced by the Atlantic Coast Conference office on Tuesday.
Watkins placed among the nation’s top 20 in two events while competing at the Hurricane Invitational in Miami. The Grovetown, Georgia, native’s time of 20.96 in the 200 was the fastest among collegiate runners at the event, ranks sixth nationally, and is the sixth-fastest in program history. His time of 10.
