After falling behind 14-7 to start the game, the Hokies couldn't seem to get over the hump. Zach LeDay led the Hokies with 21 points and 7 rebounds, as Virginia Tech improves to 4-1 in conference play. Georgia Tech outperformed the Hokies on the glass, and the game was slowed by seemingly endless foul calls on both teams. Virginia Tech utilized a clutch second half run to pull the upset.

It was the first road conference win for the Hokies on the season, and Virginia Tech now looks ahead to next week when it faces Notre Dame.
