After Virginia Tech fired football coach Brent Pry last Sunday, there have been some hints that the athletic program is going to go through some changes, including a proposal that would support athletics with a huge bump in money.
As far as the football program goes, there is a committee being formed to search for the next head coach in Blacksburg. Athletic director Whit Babcock will consult, but will not be part of the committee after hiring the last two coaches fired, Justin Fuente and Pry. On Monday, Pete Nakos of On3 reported that sources have told him that former Virginia Tech QB and Super Bowl champion Bruce Arians will consult and lend his expertise to the Hokies' hiring committee.
