What a difference two weeks make. Fourteen days after firing Brent Pry, the Virginia Tech football team was left for dead in the 2025 season at 0-3. Interim coach Philip Montgomery was left to lead the Hokies for the rest of the season.
Virginia Tech did what they were supposed to do last week by rolling over Wofford, 38-6. They knew after the game that getting the first win was big, but it was big because the final eight games were going to be ACC games. Their first one was Saturday night in Raleigh, N.C., against North Carolina State.
