When the Virginia Tech football team suffered a brutal loss to Vanderbilt at home a week ago, 44-20, after being outscored 34-0 in the second half, it wasn't a great look with several dozen recruits on campus for the game, including four-star commit Andrew Rogers.
Early last week, Rogers announced on his X account that his visit scheduled for Saturday night's game against Old Dominion was canceled by the Hokies staff, which was a stunning move considering how much of a dicey situation head coach Brent Pry was in. As soon as he announced his visit wasn't happening, it didn't take Tennessee long to reach out and host Rogers.
