It has been two weeks since the University of Michigan fired Sherrone Moore with cause. Since that night, there have been several names linked to the job, with Louisville's Jeff Brohm reportedly being linked to the position. That was before the Cardinals went out and edged Toledo, 27-22, in the Bush's Boca Raton Bowl in Florida.
On Wednesday morning, Pete Thamel joined ESPN's "Get Up'' and said that three names are emerging to be the next head coach in Ann Arbor. Missouri's Eli Drinkwitz, former Utah coach Kyle Whittingham, and Washington's Jedd Fisch.
"There's three candidates right now that I think are in their crosshairs: and that's Eli Drinkwitz, the Missouri coach; Jedd Fisch, the Washington coach; and obviously soon-to-be former Utah coach Kyle Whittingham," Thamel said.
