The Virginia Tech Hokies men’s basketball team is coming off of a 2015-16 campaign in which they surprised many with a 20-15 overall record, including a 10-8 record in league play.
Picked to finish 14th in a 15-team ACC last season, the Hokies’ emergence as one of the best young teams in the conference became one of the best stories in college basketball’s undisputed best conference a year ago.
With the team returning four of their top five scorers from a year ago, including their leading scorer, senior forward Zach LeDay (15.5 ppg., 7.9 rpg), the Hokies should not sneak up on as many teams as they did last season.
