Frank Beamer might have retired in 2015, but his ownership of the Virginia Tech locker room will be present in 2016 and beyond.
The Hokies football team's locker room is now named "The Frank Beamer Locker Room," after the school announced Tuesday that its board of visitors approved the name change.
A formal dedication will take place once new signage is installed. The locker room was previously named "Team United Locker Room."
"The heart and soul of Virginia Tech football resides within the young men who will use this locker room," Beamer said in a release.
