There were a couple of needs that Virginia Tech football coach James Franklin had when the Transfer Portal opened. Quarterback was one need, but so wasn't help in the secondary. Landing some impact players was a must for the Hokies' first-year coach.
After some players hit the portal in the secondary, Franklin is getting new defensive coordinator Brent Pry some help, and on Tuesday night, he landed an addition through the portal, and it's an experienced one.
UConn DB Cam Chadwick commits to Virginia Tech
After three years at UConn under former coach Jim Mora, who recently left to go to Colorado State, Cam Chadwick entered the portal, and after visiting Virginia Tech, he committed to the Hokies.
