Well, darn. The whisk broom for yesterday's DH sweep will have to do, and the big broom will stay in the clubhouse equipment closet. Virginia Tech's offense just didn't seem to be able to find the ball in the key times that it needed to earn a win. Quinnipiac, as noted several times, is not a pushover. Their pitching and defense were more than enough to hold the Hokies to two runs and too many critical baserunners left onboard. Hokies come up short 2-4, but win the series 3-1.
