It has been a tough start to the season for the Virginia Tech women's soccer team in 2025. After making a run to the Elite Eight in the NCAA Tournament last year, the Hokies entered Saturday night's ACC match against North Carolina State in the rain looking for their first conference win of the season. They were oh so close before disaster struck.
Leading the Wolfpack 4-3 with 10 seconds left, the Hokies allowed the tying goal in what was a wild scoring affair at Thompson Field. Virginia Tech got goals from Natalie Mitchell, Hannah Pachan, Anna Weir, and Taylor Lewin.
