Even with a very good quality start for Kit Sheetz, the offense never showed, and the Hokies hang a skunk on the fence. This loss is painful because the game was winnable. We are not outclassed by Carolina. Hopefully someone shows up with bats Saturday.
Kit Sheetz took the mound and pitched a 7 hit 3 run game. His relief, Nick Enright, unfortunately gave up 3 in the bottom of the 8th, but that all didn't matter much. The Tech bats never made the trip to Chapel Hill, and a skunk remained hung up on the scoreboard by the middle of the 9th inning.
