Given the nature of things, the season end polls should be more definitive than what we are seeing this weekend. The first poll, the relatively inconsequential AP, is a top 10 special sort of nonsense this week. The ridiculousness of ranking Clemson at #1 (11-1) while Wisconsin #3 while being undefeated and plays in the BIG 10 is profound. Alabama getting thumped late in the season by Auburn in a tough rivalry game is not sufficient to drop them out of the top 4. Auburn still has two losses, and that should be sufficient to drop them out of anything with less than 2 L’s on the board.
