This past week Virginia Tech finished the regular season by sweeping the Boston College Eagles and the Longwood Lancers. Originally VT was to face Western Carolina in a double-header to close out the regular season, but the games were canceled due to impending severe weather. The Hokies finish the regular season on a five game winning streak and having won eight of their last ten. With an overall record of 45-8 the Hokies have the fourth most wins in school history.
With an ACC record of 20-4 the Hokies have the best record in the conference. The 20 wins sets a program best for ACC wins.
