Brent Pry is going into a critical fourth year as head football coach of the Virginia Tech Hokies. In three seasons, Pry sports a 16-21 record, including a 1-1 mark in bowl games.
Virginia Tech was supposed to be a sleeper ACC contender last year with so many returning starters. It didn’t play out that way, as the Hokies underachieved and quarterback Kyron Drones dealt with multiple injuries throughout the season.
The offseason saw several players depart for the NFL, such as Bhayshul Tuten, Jaylin Lane, Antwaun Powell-Ryland, and Aeneas Peebles, while losing standouts Xavier Chaplin and Mansoor Delane to the highest bidders in the transfer portal.
