After being shut out in week two, the Hokies once again boast multiple players of the week. Josh Jackson took home Rookie of the Week, while Cam Phillips earned Reciever of the Week honors.
Jackson’s performance was nothing short of incredible. His 372 yards passing and five touchdowns were the driving force behind the Hokies’ big win against ECU. 372 yards gave him the rookie-Hokie record, with the five touchdowns tying the program record. The Pirates’ pass defense is one of the worst in college football, but Jackson showed that he can stand back there and take advantage of an opponent’s weakness.
