The Virginia Tech Hokies added another offensive commitment this week when three-star tight end Jared Gibble flipped his commitment from Charlotte to the Hokies.
Gibble is a 6-foot-4, 225-pound prospect from Oak Grove High in Winston-Salem, N.C. Virginia Tech was his first Power Five offer. He listed a total of 19 offers.
Now, what to make of this commitment.
First, in watching Gibble he has nice athleticism for his size. He can fill a Dalton Keene role for the Hokies early in his career because he can block. He is also a solid receiver, too. And his frame will allow him to easily add more weight once he arrives in Blacksburg next year.
