Virginia Tech football: Stroman and Settle’s contract details are official

Now that the NFL Draft is in the rearview mirror and there are several former Virginia Tech football players around the league, contracts are being signed as the ex-Hokies begin their professional careers.

On the eve of their first rookie minicamp that began Friday, cornerback Greg Stroman and defensive tackle Tim Settle signed their contracts with the Washington Redskins. The former high school and college teammates each signed four-year deals.

According to Spotrac, the best site in analyzing NFL salary-cap data and contracts, Settle’s four-year deal has a total value of $2.73 million, with a fully-guaranteed signing bonus of $268,000.
