Virginia Tech football: Reggie Floyd’s emergence a positive for Hokies’ secondary

All offseason, people hyped Virginia Tech’s secondary. The Hokies had three potential future NFL corners in Brandon Facyson, Greg Stroman and Adonis Alexander. At safety (and whip linebacker), there’s Terrell Edmunds, Mook Reynolds and everyone’s favorite freshman sensation, Devon Hunter. Just another typical year for ‘DBU,’ right?

Well, this secondary does possess extraordinary talent and experience. However, for all of the talk about Hunter coming in and becoming VT’s starting rover, people are forgetting the name of Reggie Floyd.

Who, you ask?

Floyd, a 6’0”, 218-pound sophomore from Manassas, Virginia, is probably the least-heralded member of Virginia Tech’s secondary.
