Virginia Tech football recruiting: Hokies pick up first in-state prospect for 2026

It’s the time of the year when we should start seeing some football commitments. The Virginia Tech Hokies just completed their annual spring game on Saturday. And while the weather wasn’t great, several recruits were on campus to take in the atmosphere.

On Sunday, Virginia Tech’s 2026 recruiting class added its second commitment when kicker John Love made his pledge official. One day later, head coach Brent Pry added another to the 2026 class when Suffolk, Virginia, EDGE/linebacker Joshua Pittman committed to VT.
