The Virginia Tech Hokies picked up their first commitment for 2027 on Friday when three-star quarterback Ben Musser made it official.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pound Musser is a rising junior at Prince Avenue Christian School in Bogart, Georgia. The Hokies offered Musser last month, but he’s been on their radar for a while. He is the first quarterback recruit to commit to Tech (not a transfer) under new offensive coordinator Phillip Montgomery.
Musser visited Blacksburg for a camp last month and performed well, which led to the offer. He chose the Hokies over Purdue, Vanderbilt, Cincinnati and others.
