The Virginia Tech Hokies landed another commitment on Tuesday morning and this was one no one saw coming. Tray Curry, a 6-foot-4, 210-pound wide receiver from Bradley Central High in Cleveland, Tenn., picked the Hokies over Tennessee, Georgia, Auburn and a host of others.
For most of those who follow recruiting, the addition of Curry came as a surprise. The first thing that stands out about him is his massive size. A 6-foot-4 wide receiver in high school is impressive and Curry’s tape backs up that assertion.
Curry is a matchup nightmare at the high school level.
