Welcome to the Terrordome isn’t just a legendary song from Public Enemy. During a game back in Virginia Tech’s historic 1999 season, All-American defensive end Corey Moore said, “Welcome to the Terrordome” after another dominating defensive performance at Lane Stadium.
That’s how people viewed the Hokies’ home, Lane Stadium, during those times. No one wanted to come to Lane Stadium and play Virginia Tech, particularly under the lights on a Thursday night.
Boy, times have changed. We don’t need to go over Tech’s home record in recent years, but it's not a home-field advantage anymore. They can’t blame the fans.
