Last year was a season to forget for Virginia Tech quarterback Kyron Drones. After entering the season with major expectations, Drones struggled and missed four games due to injuries. Even when Drones played, he wasn't healthy. This offseason, we learned that Drones was dealing with multiple injuries last season and tried to play through them.
Drones had a promising 2023 campaign — his first as a starter after transferring to the Hokies from Baylor. Drones wasn’t as good last season, but we know why. Now, he’s back, and while he’s lost some of his best offensive weapons, he has an experienced new coach and a QB-friendly offense.
