The Virginia Tech Hokies’ 2026 recruiting class got even smaller Thursday when three-star wide receiver Carnell Warren announced he was backing off his pledge.

The 6-foot-4, 195-pound Warren was VT’s first 2026 commitment, announcing his decision on January 2. However, no one believed Warren would keep his commitment, with some believing he’d stick with the Hokies until something he perceived as better came along.
