The Virginia Tech Hokies got off to a fast start on Monday night in Tallahassee, driving all the way down the field where quarterback Josh Jackson hits receiver Damon Hazelton for a 10-yard touchdown to give the Hokies an early 7-0 lead.

Tech’s defense immediately forced a turnover which led to another three points. Also in the first half, cornerback Caleb Farley picked off his first career pass to stall a promising Florida State drive.

The Hokies’ second touchdown came when Chris Cunningham blocked a field goal that Eric Kumah scooped up and scored the easy touchdown.
