The Virginia Tech Hokies added another solid piece to the 2022 recruiting class on Wednesday when three-star defensive back Mansoor Delane made his college decision.
Delane, a 6-foot-1, 178-pound DB from Archbishop Spalding in Severn, Maryland, picked the Hokies over his home-state Maryland Terrapins. Maryland was long thought to be the choice, but the Hokies were aggressive recently in their pursuit of Delane, and it paid off with Tech landing another talented defensive back.
Delane has good size and should begin his college career at cornerback.
Delane told Brian Dohn of 247Sports why he chose the Hokies.
